Welcome to Northern Dawn 2026!

This week we head to Hawke’s Bay to collect our ram Northern Dawn 3/21. He’s by Highcraigs Apex and was leased to Horizon Farming in Hawkes Bay. We were excited when they approached us to use this ram in their program because of his IMF results from the SIGC (South Island Genomic Calibration) progeny trial.

We will have several 2tooth rams from him this selling season, and will look to send a couple of the best boys into some progeny trials themselves.

His daughter won the 🏆Miss Waikato ewe hogget title last year, and both she and her twin sister have given us twins recently sired by last years 🏆Supreme Sheep at the Royal Stratford Show. So it’s no surprise that these girls and their mother sit at the top of our NZMW + M index in SIL with all 3 of them over 3000 🍀🍀🍀.
